Kia ora —
There's a good chance we know why you're here.
You've got logos and images in 27 folders. People email you for assets every week. There's a SharePoint nobody can find anything in. The "official" brand guidelines PDF is two versions behind. Someone in sales just used the old logo in a customer deck again. Press requests sit in your inbox for days because finding the right image takes longer than answering the email.
You've probably tried a few things already. Dropbox or Google Drive — fine until you had to give external partners access, or audit who downloaded what, or stop people using "Final_v4_USE_THIS.png". SharePoint or your intranet — locked down so tight that the people who actually need the assets can't get to them. Maybe a legacy DAM with a six-figure annual fee, half the features unused, a UI from 2011, and a vendor that went quiet two years ago.
None of it really solved the problem. Because the problem isn't storage. It's that your brand lives in too many places, in too many versions, and the people who need it — internal teams, agencies, press, partners, dealers, customers — can't easily find the right thing and use it correctly.
We started Brandkit in 1994 to fix exactly this. Back then it was called something different and ran on different technology, but the job has never changed: be the one place your brand lives, where the right people can find the right asset, use it the right way, and trust it's the current version.
We're still privately held. We've never taken outside money. We're profitable. We answer our own emails. We're still here, still building. In an industry where vendors get acquired, gutted, and quietly wound down every few years, that matters more than it should have to.
Today Brandkit runs the brand hubs, media centres, image libraries and partner toolkits for tourism boards, place brands, economic development agencies, tourism attractions, universities, government departments, franchises, exorters and global companies. Some of them you'd recognise. Some of them have been with us for over a decade. A few of them migrated from competitors who promised everything and delivered something else.
Brandkit is the proven version of what you've been trying to build with duct tape. One source of truth for your brand. A portal on your domain — public, private, or both. Search that actually works. Usage rules and licensing baked in, not stapled on. Self-serve access for the people who need it. Real reporting on what's being used and by whom. Enterprise security, single sign-on, data sovereignty options. Multi-language, multi-region, multi-brand if you need it.
It is, we'll admit, sometimes a bit boring. Brand asset management isn't glamorous software. But after 30 years we think boring is the point. Boring means it works. Boring means it's still here.
Thanks for reading this far. If any of it sounded familiar, we'd love to show you around. You can start a free trial, or book a 20-minute walkthrough with one of us — not a sales rep, an actual person who'll be working on your account if you decide to go ahead.
And if you're not ready yet, that's fine too. We'll still be here when you want something better.
Kind regards,
David Vaassen, Founder & CEO
