Q: Why is sound not working in some videos?
Answer:
Some of the videos available are raw footage and do not include a soundtrack.
Often these videos are B-Roll footage intended to be edited or used inside your own videos, where you would naturally add your own sound.
Note: However you should first check that your sound/volume on your device is turned on and is loud enough to hear.
If there is a soundtrack
If there is a soundtrack, Brandkit will automatically detect the presence of a soundtrack in the video and display the label “with Audio” next to the Asset duration time.

(Fig: Screenshot from Tourism NZ’s Visual Library of a Video Asset showing the “with Audio” label)
If there is no soundtrack
If there is no soundtrack, we’ll add the label “no Audio”
However many video producers leave the soundtrack in the video, but silence any audio. We can’t automatically detect this, and so Videos may be mis-labeled.
Admins will have to manually edit the Audio attribute in the Asset details metadata.
Happy branding :)
