Brandkit Feature: New default Credit and dynamic Licence wording (using Mustache variables)
We’ve made some improvements to Licences /Licensing in Brandkit.
Default Asset Credit
You can now set a default Credit (Credit’s are used for content attribution in Brandkit) to be applied to new Assets, in your account settings.
This is helpful if you always want attribution to your brand, company or organisation. If so this will save a repetitive step in the publishing process.
Once you have your Licences setup (Admin > Settings > Licences), and your Credits setup (Admin > Settings > Credits):
- Navigate to Admin > Settings > General
- Scroll down to the Default credit section
- Select a default Credit from the drop-down list of Credits (or leave as No default credit if you prefer)
- Save

(Fig: Screenshot Default Credit Settings)
Once set - every time you upload a new Asset, the default Credit will be applied.
Dynamically add Credits to Licences
You can now dynamically (automatically) incorporate an Asset’s Credit in the Licence wording for any Licence that requires attribution. Once your Licence wording is configured correctly the Asset’s Credit will always included in the Licence wording itself.
You use Mustache variables, in this case the {{Credit}} variable, to dynamically insert the value in the Credit’s Display Name field into your Licence wording.
Example:
The wording set in Licence settings (Admin > Settings > Licence):
Royalty Free with attribution Royalty free worldwide in paid and unpaid media — with attribution required. Please credit {{Credit}}.
results in the displayed licence wording as:
Royalty Free with attribution Royalty free worldwide in paid and unpaid media — with attribution required. Please credit www.thecoromandel.nz | The Coromandel.

Happy branding :)
