SDR (Sales Development Representative)
Full time (Part time may be possible), Remote/Hybrid, Salary plus Bonuses. Immediate start.
Seeking a SDR to join the Brandkit team.
We are a New Zealand headquartered B2B SaaS (Software as a Service) company, established in 1997, working in the branding, digital media, content management sector. We're a small team of 5 (Founder, Admin, Designer, 2 x Engineers) and dog named Harry.
Our clients include well known brands and organisations across a broad spectrum of industries from around the globe. We have a strong presence in the National and Local Government, Economic Development, and Tourism sectors in several markets.
We all work remotely, and practice asynchronous working. We're also Mac people.

However for an async style of work - you have to be a good writer. You need to write up (and sketch up) your ideas, and explain your idea/concepts. You need write to customers and build relationships often with words first. Only later do you get to converse in person or via video call.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our team. The SDR will play a crucial role in driving our growth by conducting outbound outreach, qualifying potential leads, and assisting with demand generation activities. This position requires a self-motivated individual, a people person, with strong communication skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a small team.
What Is an SDR (Sales Development Representative)?
An SDR or Sales Development Representative is a salesperson who is focused on lead generation and lead qualification. Involved in top-of-the-funnel opportunity-generating activities, SDRs will typically act as the first point of contact between an outbound lead and the company. The SDR will often be the person that prospects will first respond to and associate with the business. Most of an SDR's time is spent on lead generation, prospecting, cold emailing, cold calling, or qualifying leads they've successfully moved down the pipeline to a point where the prospect is ready to hand over to a Sales or Account Executive for the next stage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct outbound outreach via email, phone, and social media to identify and qualify potential leads.
- Request and follow up on referrals from leads, clients and network contacts.
- Assist in demand generation activities, including email marketing campaigns and social media outreach.
- Schedule and coordinate meetings between qualified leads and our sales team.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all activities in our CRM system.
- Collaborate with management to align on lead generation strategies and feedback.
- Continuously develop and refine outreach scripts and messaging to improve response rates.
- Provide regular feedback to management on activities.
Qualifications
- Experience as an SDR or in a similar role preferred, but could suit someone new to sales who is keen to learn.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong writing skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small, close-knit team.
- Proficiency in CRM software and other sales tools, or willingness to learn
- Self-motivated with a results-driven approach.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Experience working in or selling to mid-sized marketing teams a plus.
- Design, creative industry or agency background a plus.
- Must be adapatable, and keen to learn new things - e.g. use of AI tools.
