We’ve made a small change/tweak to the Back to search and Search navigation in Brandkit Portals.
Before this change
If you ran a Search, navigated to an Asset found in the Search Result, and then clicked the Back to search link on an Asset page, or clicked the Search icon/button in the top right nav, or clicked the home button/main site logo, you would return to the Search page with the previous search preserved.
Previous behaviour:
Clicking the Back to search link on the Asset page - preserves the current search
Clicking the Search icon/button in the top right nav, - preserves the current search
Clicking the Home button/main site logo in the top left nav, - preserves the current search
After this change
New behaviour:
Clicking the Back to search link on the Asset page - preserves the current search
Clicking the Search icon/button in the top right nav, clears the current search and open a fresh Search page
Clicking the Home button/main site logo in the top left nav, clears the current search and open a fresh Search page (or home page with blank search box)
No change in Admin
Note that this behaviour was already standard in the Admin area.
We’ve made a small change/tweak to the “Back to search” and “Search” navigation in Brandkit Portals.
