Q: What does ‘Automatically tag with file metadata on ingestion’ mean?
In Automation Settings (found at Admin > Settings > Automation) there is a check-box option labeled ‘Automatically tag with file metadata on ingestion’.

When enabled - Brandkit will extract the Description and Keywords saved in a file’s Exif/IPTC/XMP metadata and copy to the Asset’s Description field and Tags field.
The extracted Tags are differentiated from AI and User entered tags in the Admin Tag view - with extracted Tags display in grey with a small up arrow icon (AI generated Tags are a darker grey with. star icon, Human entered tags are black without an icon). See below.
