Q.: What does batch relate mean?

Purpose of Related Assets

The idea with Related Assets is to add an explicit relationship between Assets.

A common use case is to Upload a Talent Release Agreement as an Asset and then re;ate that to one or more photographs featuring that Talent.

Batch Relate is an option in the Basket more menu.

By clicking this button in the menu it adds a 2-way relationship between the Assets selected in the Basket.

This adds an explicit relationship between all the Assets.

You can also add these relationships from each Asset, by navigating to the Related Assets panel in an Asset’s page in Admin, and then adding selected Assets.

But Batch Relate is a handy shortcut.

Results:

• In the Portal when viewing an Asset, you will see a grid of related Assets below.
• In Admin on the asset page, if you scroll down to the Related Assets panel - you will see a list of all the related Assets.
