OM6.4: Admin > CMS > Redirections

Note: CMS accessible to customer ion Pro and Enterprise Editions.

Redirections let you set up 301 (permanent) and 302 (temporary) redirects on your portal. Use them when moving pages or restructuring your URL scheme.

Navigate to Admin > CMS > Redirections

When to use redirections

  • You're migrating an existing website or web pages to Brandkit and need old URLs to forward to new ones
  • You've reorganised your portal's page structure and want to preserve old links
  • You want to create short or friendly URLs that redirect to longer ones

Adding a redirection

  1. Admin > CMS > Redirections
  2. + Add a new redirection
  3. Enter the source path (the old URL, relative to your domain)
  4. Enter the destination URL (where the redirect should point)
  5. Select the redirect type — 301 for permanent, 302 for temporary
  6. Save

301 vs 302

  • 301 (Permanent) — tells browsers and search engines that the page has moved permanently. Use this when you're sure the old URL will never be used again.
  • 302 (Temporary) — tells browsers the redirect is temporary. Use this when you expect the old URL to return.

Tips

  • Use 301 redirects for any pages you're permanently retiring — this passes SEO value to the new URL.
  • Avoid redirect chains (A → B → C) — go directly from the old URL to the final destination.
