How do I match Enterprise Backup files with Brandkit metadata?
When we back up your assets to an external AWS s3 bucket that you own via Enterprise Backup, we copy all Assets including Asset Versions whether the Asset was deleted or not (we keep deleted files in storage while you account is active).
When you export your Asset Metadata report from the Reports section of your account, we include a row in the CSV for each Asset - but only for the current version of the Asset.
Therefore if you have been using the Versions feature for some Assets, you will have more files in your backup that Assets in the Asset Metdata report.
This means if you are attempting to match metadata to files in your s3, lets say if you wanting to replicate your data in another system, you will not have the full metadata list.
We have developed a special report includes a row for all version of Assets stored (and copied in the backup) plus new columns to help you identify previous versions of an Asset
This report is available but must be requested from support@brandkit.com.
How do I match Enterprise Backup files with Brandkit metadata?
Brandkit’s Enterprise Backup includes all asset versions and deleted files, but standard metadata exports only show current versions. You can request a special “all versions” report from Support to match metadata with all backed-up files.
