OM6.3: Admin > CMS > Themes
Note: CMS access is limited to customers on Pro and Enterprise Editions.
Themes control the look and feel of your portal — fonts, colours, spacing, and layout styling. Themes are applied using custom CSS.
Navigate to Admin > CMS > Themes
How themes work
Brandkit portals use a CSS-based theming system. Your account starts with a the default theme which you can then customise to match your brand.
Changes to your theme take effect immediately across the entire portal.
Editing your theme
- Admin > CMS > Themes
- Click New Theme
- Give the theme a unique name (e.g. Acme Theme)
- Make changes to the CSS in the editor
- Save
What you can customise
Using CSS Themes, you can control:
- Fonts (family, size, weight)
- Colours (backgrounds, text, buttons, borders)
- Spacing and layout
- Component styles (navigation, cards, search bar, etc.)
- You can create multiple themes per account and switch between them
- Once you have settled on a them, you should set the Theme to be use in Admin > CMS > Portal(s) > Theme.
Tips
- Start with the default theme as a base — it's the safest way to ensure your customisations work correctly with the portal structure.
- Brandkit staff can help you create a unique theme and has access to addition themes (e.g. a dark theme) to use as a basis of your unique theme.
- Test your theme changes across different browsers and screen sizes before treating them as final. You can switch themes in real-time using the yellow preview bar in the Portal (when you are logged in as an Admin).
- If you're not familiar with CSS, Brandkit support can assist with theme customisation.
