Embeddable Media: You can now embed PDFs

We’ve updated the Embed feature in Brandkit.

You can now Embed your PDF assets in 3rd party websites, emails, etc — in addition to the existing ability to embed Images and Video.

How to Embed a PDF

1. In Admin - Upload a PDF as an Asset (or navigate to an existing PDF Asset)
2. Click the Embed button from the Asset’s page.
3. You’ll see a PDF preview
4. Copy either the PDF direct PDF URL or the HTML code block — and embed where you will.

Documents too

You can also embed word docs (e.g. .docx files) as PDFs because we automatically generate a PDF version of these documents to display as scrollable previews in your Brandkit Portal - so you can embed those Document Assets as PDFs.

2. Click the Embed button from the Asset’s page.
3. You’ll see a PDF preview
4. Copy either the PDF direct PDF URL or the HTML code block — and embed where you will.

Presentations too

You can also embed PowerPoint Presentations (e.g. .pptx files) as PDFs because we automatically generate a PDF version of these files to display as scrollable previews in your Brandkit Portal - so you can embed those Presentations as PDFs.

1. In Admin - Upload a PowerPoint presentation (e.g. prsentation.pptx) as an Asset (or navigate to an existing Presentation Asset)
2. Click the Embed button from the Asset’s page.
3. You’ll see a PDF preview
4. Copy either the PDF direct PDF URL or the HTML code block — and embed where you will.

Note: Apple Keynote presentations (.key) files can be uploaded but we don’t generate a PDF preview for these files. Therefore .key files are not embeddable. We recommend exporting from Keynote as PowerPoint file to upload as a Presentation Asset if you want to embed it as a PDF.

CDN (Content Delivery Network)

All Embeds are delivered via Brandkit’s CDN (Content Delivery Network) ensuring fast low latency display across the globe for your users pleasure. Brandkit uses AWS Cloufront (featuring over 400 points of presence globally) as the global back-end infrastructure for it’s CDN.
